o1. How do I know how many experience points I need to level up?
If you hover over your current level the game will tell you how much XP you need to reach the next level. Are you below level 20? If so, please see my Newbies guide to levelling.
o1.a. How can I earn experience points?
You earn XP by sending your lady to work, winning duels in the Fashion Arena, and/or by winning duels against Supermodels.
o1.b. I duelled a Lady and won but didn't get any experience points! Why?
In order to win XP you have to challenge and win against a Lady your level or higher. Keep in mind, you can challenge Ladies 5 levels lower and higher than you. For example:
If your Lady is level 8 then you can duel Ladies levels 5-13. If your goal is to gain XP then you will need to challenge someone level 8-13. You win one XP per level. If you duelled a Lady who is level 8 then you would only gain 1 XP point. If you duelled a Lady level 13 then you would gain 6 XP points.
PLEASE, KEEP IN MIND THAT AT SUCH A YOUNG LEVEL WORKING ON YOUR SKILLS SHOULD BE PRIORITY. TRUST ME WHEN I SAY YOU WANT TO GET AS STRONG AS YOU CAN NOW. LEVELLING UP IS CHILDS PLAY WHEN YOU'RE LADY IS UNDER LEVEL 30.
o2. How do I join a club? Which club should I join?
Joining a club is a personal matter and no one should be able to dictate which club you choose. There are many wonderful and not so wonderful clubs out there to choose from. First thing you should do is visit the Club Rankings page found under the "Contests" tab.
Once there click on various clubs and check out their Description, which will tell you about them and what they're expecting from a potential new member. A lot of clubs now have websites and will direct you there to learn more about them and to further read their rules. It is VERY important that you read and understand a club's rules and requirements before applying.
For instance, you shouldn't commit to a club that requires 10 emeralds a week if you're not willing to pay that.
Another bit of personal advice is this: NEVER EVER just join the first club that sends you an invite. I know...I know... It's so exciting to get that invite and you feel like the chosen one BUT you need to research them first. Check out their members. Are they active? Do they visit each other? Again read the requirements.
o3. Are there hairstyles that need to be unlocked? AND/OR Where can I get hairstyle such and such?
The only hairstyles you can unlock in the Beauty Salon are celebrity ones. More than likely the hairstyle you saw on that Lady or on a Lady in an event annoucement page is from a previous event. Hairstyles from previous events can not be earned again once the event is over. Perhaps the developers might bring them back during another event but I have yet to see this happen. The picture below shows hairstyles that I've won/bought/earned during events.
There are hairstyles that you can buy during an Engagement Party but those go very fast! And they cost diamonds.
o4. How can I see/access my inventory?
Either by clicking on the "My Lady" tab, which will bring you to the welcome page or by clicking on the "Popularity" tab, which is where you train your skills.
o5. How do I earn dollars/emeralds/diamonds?
Please, visit the following guide:
o6. How do I get engaged?
You have to be above level 30 and have received all of the gifts from the boyfriends.
o7. How do I play [insert Mini-Game/Carnival game]?
When you click on a Mini-Game you will see a question mark and a check. Each one will give you more insight and/or instructions on how to play the game. Make sure you click on them.
o8. There is a Lady that keeps challenging me every hour! How do I get them to stop? Can I report them or something?
I get this question a lot and I've noticed the same thing over and over again. This problem is usually caused by three things:
-
Your skills are imbalanced;
-
Your Lady is not strong enough for your level;
-
You hoard money like the LP stock market is about to crash.
Let me tackle #3 before #1 and #2 since those two are closely related. Are you hoarding money because you want to save up to go on a furniture shopping spree? Or maybe you want to spoil your new pet with new clothes? Well, stop that right now. ALWAYS spend your money as soon as you make it/get it because there will be a Lady who will challenge you and take your hard earned dollars. Hoarding money in this game is not feasible for the majority of Ladies due to points #1 and #2.
The second you stop being a good target you will see that Lady leave you alone because no one wants to waste energy points on someone who isn't paying out.
Now for #1 and #2. These might seem the same but they are not. Take for instance a Lady who has very high skills but not high enough for her challenge range. Remember you can duel and be duelled by Ladies 5 levels below and above you. So while your skills might be balanced (I'll discuss this more later) you're still too weak to defend yourself against Ladies 5 levels above you and in some rare yet sad cases 5 levels below you. This will be solved by NOT levelling up further and continuing to work on your skills.
Skill imbalance is when a Lady's skills are focused in one or two areas. You've all seen the Lady with a ridiculous amount of points in Style and Creativity all the while ignoring her other skills. This imbalance will cause you to be duelled a lot.
Please, visit my Guide to Levelling for more help.
You cannot report someone for duelling you because the object and even part of the name of the game is Fashion Arena. They are not cheating, they are not being malicious, they are not breaking the rules, etc. What you can do is place this person on your opponents list and once you become stronger than them you can always give them a visit back. ;-) Petty? Perhaps but you know it'll feel good. And yes, we all know the difference between someone duelling you and someone targeting you. The latter is never fun but again the second you stop being a viable opponent they will move on.
A common misconception is that placing someone on ignore will stop them from duelling you. The only thing the ignore list prevents is that person leaving a message on your page and from sending you a private message.
o9. How do I place an image in my comments? How do I change font size, font colour, etc.?
To place an image on someone's page, your page, in your club description, etc. will require you to use image tags (i.e. BB Code).
[ IMG ] INSERT IMAGE URL HERE [ / IMG ]
When using the above you will of course remove all spaces. I suggest and highly encourage you to upload the image you want using an image hosting site versus directly hotlinking from it. I recommend imgur.com because you can edit the image's size, crop it, add a frame, etc. You can even delete the picture if you no longer want the image url to be valid.
Font size and font colour also require tags. [ size = ] and [ color = ], respectively. Remember that BB Code tags always need to be closed in order for them to work. You close a tag by inserting / at the end of the code.
For example:
[size=14]YOUR DESIRED TEXT HERE[/size]
Before going on your commenting spree do a test run on your own page first because you can always delete it and try again. Keep in mind that this does take away from your 100 limit comment per day.
PurpleBondGirl, President of Club Purple Reigns, has a great and in depth guide on her website. You can visit it here. It even includes help on what to say and what not to say.
You can get BB Code tags from the message box or you can simply type them in btw. -->
1o. Can we be friends?
Sure go ahead and add me to your friends list and send me a message when you have a question about the game. Also, please make sure to visit my Play Safe, Be Safe Guide.
And please venture outside of the top 20 when doing your search because you'd be missing out on some wonderful clubs and maybe even your potential new home.
02.a. Can I start my own club?
Yes, you can and there is no level restriction to do so. Please, keep in mind that clubs are expensive to run and are not something to take lightly.
o2.b. How much does it costs to start my own club?
30 diamonds or 300 emeralds. The costs don't stop there either. Be prepared to spend A LOT of diamonds, emeralds, and dollars on improving your club's popularity stats.
